Volkswagen Touran Owners Manual: Warning lamps and indicator lamps

First read and observe the introductory information and safety warnings

Lit up Possible cause Correction
Dual clutch gearbox DSG® overheated. Do not drive on!
Move the selector lever to position P and leave the gearbox to cool down.
If the warning lamp does not go out, do not drive on. Contact professional assistance. Considerable damage to the gearbox could be caused otherwise  .
Brake pedal not depressed. To select a gear, press the brake pedal.
Flashes Possible cause Correction
The lock button in the selector lever is not engaged. The vehicle cannot drive off. Engage the selector lever lock   .

Several warning and indicator lamps will light up briefly when the ignition is switched on while the vehicle runs functional checks. They will switch off after a few seconds.
